Just to let you know if you were considering diving Casino Point this weekend that conditions are very ROUGH. I very rarely cancel a dive day, in fact I can't remember the last time I did due to water conditions.

Today I got a lift with my gear down to the Park. I stood on the upper stairs and a wave crashed onto me soaking me from chest to foot. In other words, it is ROUGH today. Entries and exits on the stairs would be hazardous for many. Mo way I wanted to enter with my camera.

Forecast tomorrow is for the winds to shift and a mild Santa Ana to develop. Could be good, could be worse. Whatever happerns I'm sure the bottom has been quite stirred up by all this.

Guess I'll just have to listen to the Harvard-Yale football game and edit my scientific papers.

I was just looking at the weather reports and the swell model and was wondering how things look for tomorrow. I guess I'll just keep an eye on things and see what the wind does here today. Maybe I'll check in with the Express tonight.

Know the Catalina Conservancy Divers plan to be in Lover's Cove tomorrow to do a cleanup dive. Hope conditions turn around for that since L.C. is an interesting place to dive and it's for a great purpose.

Mo2vation and I were on the Great Escape today. Great boat, great breakfast, but the diving will have to wait... We got canceled right after breakfast while still in the harbor.

A group of friends just went to Catalina. They're currently in the ferry back to mainland. Apparently, the fill station is closed and the waves were breaking over the wall. Same deal at Lover's Cove. The King Neptune isn't running either.

I heard the wind blowing all night long. That wasn't a good sign...

Yes, I'll be watching conditions. I am really looking forward to it, but then, I don't want to get up to catch the Express at such an ungodly hour if we can't get into the water...
This reminds me of sitting around at Mom's in Florida waiting for the winds to shift...

I hear it's not accessible. Are you doing the clean up? You may want to check the conditions before leaving your home. The ferry is running.

Yes, Arnaud, I will be keeping an eye on conditions and my e-mail. The winds seem to be abating here, well, okay, at least the howling has stopped, and the parakeet is less nervous. That's got to be a good sign.

Tom just sent out e-mail stating that the CCD clean up at Lover's Cove tomorrow is cancelled. I may delay any diving until Tues/Wed so the bottom sediments have time to return to where they belong!

Me? I'm painting the bathroom today.

I have been out of the water, and I was seriously looking forward to getting wet.

Mo2, there is always that previously mentioned lobster tank at Ralphs! One wouldn't even have to deal with picket lines there.

I guess I will just have to devote myself to holiday preparations...
