Knock CMOS sensor all you want, this is one awesome camera:)
The ability take pictures in near pitch black environment is awesome. (it made a pitch black hall way look like day light)
Unfortunately the low light capability doesn't quite translate to videos. I have to shut off video before I go into a dark room, or it's just be dark like how my eyes see it.

I also own this camera since a week ago and testing it at a free diving level at the moment.

It seems to respond fine in the underwater situations, I am happy with it.

I noticed that your pictures are blueish and that this can be improved.

There are two ways to improve them with this camera model:

1. Use the "White Balance" setting for "Underwater" or

2. Use the "Custom" setting and by the aid of a white balance card carried underwater with you, press the Disp button to make the camera to evaluate the White Balance at the specific depth you are at this moment.

The second method is the most accurate and gives better colors.

Thanks:)
I actually did make some comments on the white balance settings. The manual white balance normally does a better job for canons. Those clips were done using underwater wb setting. Since the current was strong, I didn't want to mess around with the settins.
I need to bring a white slate next time instead of looking for a patch of white sand.

Hi there - am thinking of getting this camera (i love that it does 1080 / 24p) . What housing do you have? the ike or canon?
I'm wanting to get the Ike, but trying to figure out if i can use a wet WA lens on it - from what i understand, the longer zoom range prevents the use of certain wide lenses...
