Hi scuba team,
Long time lurker, first time poster! I've done a quick search with no results(!) so apologies if this has already been asked... a million times.
I wanted to get into photography during my local dives in Sydney and found an old Canon PowerShot G15 in the back of my cupboard I wasn't using. I whacked this onto a Sealife tray with a video light and that got me started.
I've recently upgraded to the TG-6 (Merry Christmas to me!) and recycled my original video light (Sealife Sea Dragon 2500 Photo/Video light) and am now looking to upgrade my set up to include strobe(s). None of my dive-pals are not photographers, so I don't have anyone to discuss this with unfortunately (we’re just fun-divers).
I've been recommended (by local retailers) the Olympus UFL-3 Strobe, Sea&Sea YS01 Solis and Scubalamp P53. I can't, for the life of me, figure out what features I should be looking for and what strobe will grow with me (say, if I end up getting a 2nd strobe + snoot or upgrade my camera). Another friend recommended I just go all in and get the Inon Z-330!
I did also purchase a UWL-400Q Wide Angle Wet Lens but Sydney is far too green to get any decent wide angle shots. However, I do travel overseas (I just got back from the Solomons and I'm going to Indonesia and the Great Barrier Reef soon) so I want to keep my light options open.
I’m interested in shooting pics + macro in Sydney, with the option to whip out the wide-angle landscape shots in clearer waters.

- Should I go cheap and then upgrade again later? Or should I just get the top range of what I can afford? (Bonus question: are the Z-330s surplus to the TG-6s' abilities and I'm just getting starry eyed?)
