Isnt a visual a requirement to assess the suitability of a tank for hydro? That should knock off the cost of VIP at hydro time. Maybe I will start giving VIP's free period.. hmm

Back when the viz sticker was new, the shops I dealt with did not require a viz untill a year after the hydro, since a viz was already done at hydro and passed, otherwise it would not pass hydro.

My neutral buoyancy Al tanks are from the 1970s. When I take them in for a VIP, the dive shop owner tells me the tank interior looks like it has just come off the showroom floor! I wish I could say the same for my HP 120 steel tanks. Even a year between VIPs wasn't enough to save them due to hot fills and boat fills.
