I own a Salvo -- my concerns were 1) reliability (not on your list) 2) intensity of beam 3) focus of beam 4) burn time 5) customer service. The Salvo won on all counts.

Sartek 10 watt HID Focusable

The single overriding concern for me was durability, this light has few protrusions to pull on and get bent during travel. For me I was as concerned about the ability of the light to survive the rigors of being packed in a suitcase as I was about performance underwater.

Yes I considered all of the other factors on the list, but none of them would matter if the light got broken in my bag.

I own a Halcyon 18W, bought as that's what most of the guys I dive with use and they are satisfied and that's what the shop where I dive and buy most of my gear sells.

Pretty much everything listed was a consideration. I use my light mainly in caves. I bought what I saw being used in that environment.
