Ha- me too- I just let reality sink in and bought a 7 mil instead... then I got to dreaming and bought a 3 mil (used from Ebay- I have yet to wear it!).

As of last weekend, the first thermocline is around 20 ft. The temp is around 80 to that depth. The top of the armored truck is below 20. She would probably be uncomfortable in the 1 mil and skin if there for any real length of time.

hoosier, erparamedic is going to be wearing a 1 mil wetsuit over her skin. She's asking (over and over again, sheesh, erparamedic, give it up already... just making sure you're paying attention ) because if she needs to she'll rent a thicker wetsuit. If the thermocline happens to be a little high and she is in the thin wetsuit, she won't be able to play Uno comfortably on top of the armored car. Or if the water temp is chillier than she expects. So, that's the deal there.

Me, I'll be in my 7 mil with a bottom beanie (neoprene skull cap), gloves and a general toasty warm feeling.

Actually... I've been quite comfy in the quarries in my 1mil and skin. Rest assured I have plenty of "natural insulation". LOL

I've called Mike... and told him I'm coming back (2nd time today!) to rent a 7 mil! Are you all happy now!! LOL

Of course, I told Rod and he's coming with me.... he wants to be my personal extricator from the suit when I try it on! Suzanne... I hope you're ready to extricate me from this thing!

No story with the bike. I put it in last year and we had some fun with it. Now that they have raised the price to $20 I haven't been back. It sounds like you will be in the area that the bike was. I don't remember North, South. But it was in the shallows around the second dock. Probably not too far out either.

Well.... ya'll....

I went back to the shop to rent a 7 mil, and couldn't stand how it felt! So, I bought a 3 mil Hyperstretch, and will wear it over my 1 mil microprene. The guy at the shop says I should be "cookin" if I layer the 2. Good grief.... I walked in for a $15 rental, and walked out with a $290 purchase! What's wrong with me!?!?

Soooo.... TG... we can venture below the thermocline now!!!! And we dam well better!! LOL
