Hi, it seems that 90% of the people here will favor the apeks above most other regs. Anyway, I am currently looking for a Class A reg, and still keeping budget in mind. One thing I dislike about the Apeks that I saw (TX100) was that the second stage was heavy compared to the VX10. Besides, I have not heard much reviews on the Beuchat VX10 Evo on this forum so I thought why not start something new. Thanks.

P.S. Apeks advocates, pls try not to be bias ..........

check out the ATX line.. NOT the TX line... they really are a lot lighter and a tad smaller. But underwater, all that really matters is breating and bubble interference.

Just my take on things.... The ATX50 is tough to beat for the price.

OK....

Shane has two Beuchat VX10 Icebergs (2 firsts and 2 seconds) for sale.

I have a Beuchat VX10 Iceberg.

The good side is it breathes great at depth (110ft). The Search and Rescue guys use them because they are good in ice water. The bubbles don’t get in the way. Seams like a great reg.

The bad side is finding parts. I never see them for sale in the Caribbean or Florida. I plan on learning how to repair my own gear and getting the “normal” spare parts kit to take with me.

I have used the VX10 for approximately thirty dives primarily in cold water and love it. The only downside if any is the mouthpiece, it doesn't feel secure. So after you change the mouthpiece you got a beautiful top quality reg.

What type of regulator is this Beauchat VX 11 Iceberg?

What type of regulator do I have?
Balanced, or Unbalanced
Piston or diaphragm
