So here is a question for those who used the tanks on the boat - were any if you ridiculously tired afterwards?

No, not any more than usual. I was tired but just chalked it up to waking up at 3:30am.

I'm with Michelle. I seem to find myself WAY more tired after boat diving than short diving. I don't think it has anything to do with the gas though; probably more about early start times, lugging gear, getting suited up/ready on a small deck, the rocking of the waves, etc. I typically find myself conking out on the ride back into the harbor, and I usually can't sleep on boats.

Well, I'd say that I have over 500 boat dives, so I'm used to lugging stuff around and getting suited up the exact same way, and something was different after Saturday's diving. I'm thinking that the only thing Sarah and I had in common was the air we were breathing.

Liz was very tired too and she dove boat tanks..?I think she slept more than you Sarah!

I brought my own but wish I didn't..my only complaint about the day was that the hex boots on the HP tanks did not fit in the racks which was somewhat of a hassle. My bolt snap for my light got yanked off sliding it in and out from under the bench?

Dan-I might be down your way on Sat? I'll let you know.

Can't wait to see other pictures, some really nice camera setup there. Not sure if I was able to introduce myself to everybody, kind a hard to remember the profile name with the actual name. Very nice to meet everybody indeed; I also want to say thank you to Eric for watching out for me, very much appreciated. I got tired after the second dive and pretty much doze off on the way back; I was crazy hungry after. Sorry for not joining at Gianni's, got a bday party to go to; will surely join next time. Hopefully soon!

Yes, and I only did the one dive. I don't think it's the gas though - I've had the same experience with several boats. I believe it's mostly due to the fact that I usually get like 3 hours of sleep before a boat dive, enhanced by the fact that they're deeper dives than any of the shore diving I do.

See, I always get a fair amount of sleep. Friday night I went to bed at 9:45 p.m., up at 3:45 a.m. - so that is 6 hours of sleep.

I am really just curious because I know Danno was saying he was really tired as well, and I just normally don't do 10+ hours of sleep in a night on any given day, even following a sleep deprived night.

Regardless, it was a great day ....
