Hello everyone,

I am very excited to see the hype around BCS that I've been hearing about for a while now.

My current plan is to spend 8 days total in BCS with the following itinerary:

  • Day 1 12/26
    • Land SJD, drive to Cabo Pulmo
  • Day 2 12/27
    • Dive in Cabo Pulmo
  • Day 3 12/28
    • Dive in Cabo Pulmo
  • Day 4 12/29
    • Dive in Cabo Pulmo
  • Day 5 12/30
    • Drive to Magdalena Bay
  • Day 6 12/31
    • Marlin Run Day Trip
  • Day 7 1/1
    • Grey Whale Day Trip
  • Day 8
    • Drive to SJD

I crafted this itinerary with the goal of seeing as much of BCS as possible in a week. Would it be too early to see the whales on 1/1? I would love to hear experiences about the Marlin or Grey Whale day trips out of Magdalena Bay.

Cheers!

If you are looking for dive operator in Cabo Pulmo, we can help you :) Just send us a private msg and we send all the information :)

If you dont have the opportunity to dive with sea lions in Cabo Pulmo, you may try to fit in one day in La Paz to dive los Islotes. Its a long boat ride from La Paz (`90 min) but a worthwhile dive. Nice town too.

Good itinerary, very doable but also very aggressive, with no room for a fart - like adverse weather on your one marlin day. But not a lot you can do if that is all the days you have.
