I learned to dive by chance. I had heavy prescription glasses/contacts before, so couldn't see well and didn't think about diving. Then I had lasik surgery in 2001, which allowed me to "see" without glasses/contacts. In 2003, my wife and I went to vacation at Beaches resort in Ocho Rios. The AI package included diving. I liked the resort course and dives, and decided to get certified.

Since then I dove in yearly summer vacation, including many cruise port diving.
