Well, due to a significant piece of skin that apparently decided it no longer wanted to be part of my hand after a run-in with a very stuck lid, I now MIGHT not make it tomorrow morning. As of right now, the "pain when exposed to saltwater" factor is verified high. I'll be checking it again tomorrow morning, and deciding whether I want to dive through it or not. If I end up not making it (fingers crossed this doesn't happen), think of me every time you find the deck to be "oddly spacious and comfortable". ;)

Hopefully I'll see you all around 7:30!

Brian,

That is why you should get a pair of dry gloves like mine, your hands will never make contact with the salt water... ;)

Oh the brighter note, I hope your wound feels tough enough that I see you tomorrow at the dock, fingers are crossed...

Thanks to Mike Miller for organizing a really great dive charter. Very short synopsis for mobeeno:

Dive 1. Outer Pinnacles, Fabulous walls and channels with invertibrate encrusted surfaces bursting with corynactus, sponges, brilliant hydrocoral, and a variety of nudis. Vis probably around 35 and was better deeper. Not much surge. I was diving air and ended up dragging brewski (on nitrox) up the ramp a bit before he really needed to, thanks Ron. On the way up I encountered a very large population of small tubular jellies. Very pretty.

Dive 2. Just off Pescadero Point, I forgot what Tim called it. Vis had murked a bit to about 15 - 20 ft where I was, but still a beautiful peaceful dive among large boulders with kelp and a sand bottom (going south) at about 70 fsw. More fish, I saw a big calico, lots of top snails on the kelp, and lemon nudis.

no sea nettles that I saw.

Others will follow with more thorough reports and pics.

Here are a few pics from todays two dives. Thanks mike for arranging such a good trip!
