With that being said, what was worst, OC or Taser training?

Hey... I tried to get you to talk about OC spray!!!

It sucks to get sprayed with, I'll tell you that much. But now since I'm an instructor, I get to spray people all the time:D

Trust me the stuff works. Used it a couple of times for real, and only had one time that it didnt work out for us.

Had it go off in my car twice. Once the can was leaking and while I was driving around my eyes started gradually burning, finally I noticed my pant we wet and fiqured out why. Anouther time, when I sat down the button got pressed and it sprayed in the car. Had to drive for about 4 hours with the windows down to air out the car. Sucks, when its friggin 5 degrees out.

OC, it is extrutiating pain for about 45 min. The Taser is worse but it only lasts for a few sec. So I'd rather get Tased anyday.

They're not behind the curve, my department is. Some of us, about 15% are issued AR-15's and a shotgun. Everyone else has a shotgun. About 40% have computers in their cars and can run driver checks, etc. Less than 1% have cameras in our cars and most are not digital. We cannot write digital tickets. Every car has a radar. We have share lasers. Our dispatchers have CAD. Other than a radio in the car, that's about it. We're pretty backward.

How much to fix a ticket? First take how much money I would make until I retire. Add to it the amount I will probably make from retirement. Then add the amount I will loose because I can't get as good a job after being fired. Add a couple $100,000 for the humiliation factor and you should have enough to have a speeding ticket taken care of. If you want a criminal ticket taken care of, it'll cost you more.

Wow... you guys need to apply for some DHS grants to by some more gear. You all need computers in your cars and cameras are a must have nowdays.

Ok first of all let's not put too high a value on your career. You're one hooker away from getting canned anyway right? :)

ouch...

ooh here is a question: Why is it that I never see cops hiding in peoples driveways...they are always in a "public place" when they are parked at a speed trap. They can definitely hide in my driveway and catch a bunch of people.
