I just thought of more questions:

How would you characterize the "above average" criminal? I'm not talking about speeders, but the ones that wouldn't think twice about robbing, shooting, stabbing, etc...

What about the quiet guy next door that goes beserk and does something unspeakable? The neighbors always say he would be the last person they would suspect, but are they all that quiet when the get locked up or arrested?

Did you ever see any hard criminals cry?

What are your favorite TV shows/movies?

Besides tasers and guns, what other cool toys do you carry?

Toys, toys toys!!!

Let's see what I have at work....Taser's, bean bag guns, AR-15's with Eo-tech scopes, Benelli shotguns, our SWAT team has all kinds of other toys (sub guns, gas, flashbangs, etc).

Technology wise, we have GPS tracking in our squds, in car digital cameras, a program called Phoenix that runs our report writing, CAD system, booking system, etc..all from our squads...heck, I even have wireless broadband internet in my squad!

Soon we will have printers in the squad for electronic citations and accident reports. We will also have live feeds to our squads of the security cameras from the schools and our mall.

Regarding the "above average" criminal, are you asking who they might be? I wish I knew that answer. That is one thing you are taught right away...you never know who the bad guy/gal is. I've arrested people from every walk of life, every race and every age. 80 year old grandmas/grandpas for OWI's and retail theft. Upper class suburbanites for drugs, OWI, theft, domestic viol...everything! Everyone is a suspect.

Crying criminals??? All the time!!! The best is the crying female when you pull them over for a minor traffic offense. Cry=ticket.

Favorite shows: I like Mythbusters and American Chopper. All kinds of movies!

Ok, yes I do shoot off guns to blow some steam. Yes its always at a range or training facility. I've always liked shooting guns though, its a hobby. If I really want to blow off steam a couple of us will grab our gear and load up with Sim rounds(basicly a paint round for your gun) and go shoot at each other in our training village.

Besides tasers and guns we carry all kinds of fun toys. Of course theres the OC, and the expandable batons. We have our MDT's (mobile data terminal) in our cars. Some of us have rifles in our cars, others shotguns, some have nonlethal shotguns, some have a combination of the 3. A lot of us carry portable alcohol detection devices, we also have little machines that can tell us what level of window tint you have on your car. Now days a lot of us carry Defribulators with us. If we are on a SWAT team we might have a lot of our SWAT gear/weapons with us. Our cars get really full, as you can see.

Yep, seen criminals cry before. Yep, It's funny.

Favorite TV shows: South PArk, Law and order, Bugs bunny(not on much anymore, but still love it)
Favorite Movies: To many to list, as long as there's shooting involved I'm preatty content.
