Well who would believe it. Another director at Apex Marine has just walked the plank.
Not a month went by into the new job with the new owners and the first thing Head does is ensure that last Aqualung director in the deck of cards gets the boot. Who would have thought it.

He could have at least waited or "Just Add Water" in the hope that maybe it would grow.

Fat chance now I guess he just has seen what the 42 Million spent on this little half ass venture has got him. And by that vacant look on his face the realisation of what he has just got himself into.
Welcome to the board (read plank) Gerald Skrobanek.

I was going to say something about Poseidon and Austria but you won't like it.
Never a dull moment. :wink:Iain

The last run it with Gerald Skrobanek didn't work out that well for him great either.
As CEO of the HEAD Group he considered dozens of different locations to place the plant for the production of HEAD winter sports equipment. From the list of sites in Ukraine of all places. (You just know what's going to happen next)

Gerald stated and I quote "We have chosen Vinnytsia Ukraine, as a perfect spot for the new HEAD Group facilities. That was possible due to the combination of factors that are of high importance for us, namely: strong human resources, favorable geographical location, transparent business principles.

No doubt, the COVID-19 pandemic has negatively affected many companies around the globe, including producers of sports equipment. However, we have not changed our aspirations and strategic directions. That is why on May 2021 we started the construction of the new plant on the territory of our Winter Sport» industrial park in Vinnytsia Ukraine. I would like to thank the city authorities and everyone who is helping us for their support".

You couldn't make it up if you tried. до свидания ("do svidaniya")

But now they've got Sergio Angelini from Mares in charge of R&D. That's a good thing. Don't know what it means from a brand/model preservation standpoint, but on a design basis I think it's good news. Sergio's one smart guy.

Hope dies last my friend. Hope dies last.

The old saying "From the frying pan to the fire" comes to mind.
