I am thinking of purchasing the Aqualung Destination bag. The manufacturer specs seem to indicate it is 65 linear inches. Is this something that airlines are likely to hassle me over, or is it close enough that this wont be a problem?
I've never had a bag that was over the size limit (I'm always close on weight but within size).

Any advice would be appreciated.

Airlines and the employees thereof will apply imaginary or real rules as they recall them or whether it is the third lunar cycle.

The likelihood of your being assessed additional baggage fees is directly proportional to your attitutde and inversely proportional to the ratio of your female appearance (aka: boobage, not baggage) in relation to the male attendant at the ticket counter's heterosexuality.

X/b = (2)x Y = ___

There is no answer to this imponderable.

I have seen that bag and it does look too big to me. I would be that many airlines would make you pay extra. In addition, if you fill it up it will be over the weight limit for sure. Personally, I wouldn't risk it.
It is a nice looking bag though.
