I had a recurring problem with me S230 (blurry or black screen). I checked the Canon site and there is apparently a CCD problem from factory (recall). On the site it says that Canon will repair your camera free of charge regardless of waranty status. I sent the camera in to be repaired and they don't have any parts left so they are replacing them with S3 IS's now. Nice camera but it sucks that they don't make an underwater housing for them.
