Alkin = Bauer Filter

Are the Alkin W31 P-21 and the Bauer P-21 triplex filters the same?
Will a Bauer filter fit the Alkin?
Both measure the same lenght and dia.
End fittings, o-rings look the same.
There's a $8 price difference at Filter techs.

I have an Alkin 31 and thought the Bauer filters should fit. I was told they are not the same by both August Industries and Airetex. Bruce at Airetex was kind enough to ship me the right filters. They can also be ordered directly from Filtertech.
