Why did I get this? I've never participated in that thread.
 
I think there is a feature in the software when if your post is added to a multi quote reply it notifies you, and if the user goes back and deletes your quote it isn't smart enough to back it out . . .

Did you get a notice that I quoted you @tursiops ?

Yes; did you quote me, then edit and delete it?

That is correct.

QUOTE, post, edit, delete, save.
 
If you add a post to quote and then do not use it, it stays there and gets posted with the next quote you do. I have carried over posts and then deleted them as inappropriate. If you review your quote before adding it to the post, you can remove any that don't belong.
