Advice on buying a wetsuit....

Part of purchasing a drysuit is also the trust that you have in your local dive shop. I purchased mine used for $300 a few years ago. The man who owned it simply out grew it. Gotta love being 100 lbs!!!! There's absolutely no reason why you have to spend an arm and a leg to dive dry unless you're worried about looking fashionable.

Also, if you're getting a tailored dry suit make sure you get room enough for extra socks. Went diving with some rescue divers the other weekend who's department just paid for them to have custom dry suits made. They all gave their shoe size (forgetting that you might want to add an extra pair of socks once in a while) which only allowed for a standard pair of socks. Needless to say, their ice dive was a little chilly (I know it's wrong, but it made me giggle).
