finished up an advanced certification last night, then came home and flopped into bed. Up and at it again this morning with an 8 am boat. I took 7 people plus a videographer to Santa Rosa, and you know how much I like it there. Then we had a nice slow, easy dive at Paradise reef for the second dive. Some of the highlights for today were finding an electric ray at Santa Rosa, and a group of 19 squid at Paradise.

This afternoon I taught a Nitrox class, and an nice surprise, I signed a guy up for a rescue course later in the week. Looking forward to a good group of divers in the morning, then get started on teaching a navigation specialty in the afternoon. I love the nav course.

Some days I feel like I am just banging my head against a wall. I believe there is so much potential for great things, and I fear that it could all slip away, because in order to make it better we have to let it change from what it is. Change, even for the better, is not as popular as one would expect.

I understand this sentiment only too much Mathew. I have great plans for my company. I had put a person in a position for expansion of my company. I gave him a vehicle, huge raise, a lot of freedom to use his talents how he saw fit with out me micro managing him. I trusted him.
I came home to a vehicle in police compound, him with an impaired driving charge. His job can not be done without the license or someone driving him around. Now I feel that my company was not meant to get that big as I put a lot of eggs in his basket, without me at the helm. O well I started my company with a hammer and me. I always have that to fall back on, that's not so bad.

okey dokey, time for sleep, I have a trip to lead in the morning. Thanks for reading. ZZZZZZ.......

It's been a few days since I wrote anything. It's been a lot of divemastering at the shop for me, as well as a few discover scuba students. Feeling a little burned out, and probably just need a day off. More DM work in the morning. I wonder where we will go???? Suggestions???

Punta Tuniche

lots of divemastering the last few days. I took out morning and afternoon boats the last two days. I almost always enjoy being the divemaster, so it was a good few days. Today I spent the day working with a rescue diver course student. It worked out well, he and his wife have signed up for a Nitrox course now also. He is a volunteer firefighter, so seems to get the principles behind what we are doing quite easily. All in all, I thought he did very well.

Tomorrow I am DMing again in the morning, and more rescue course in the afternoon. Should be a good day.

P.S. Btravlin, we did go to Tunich after all.

I'm about to enjoy a nice cup of coffee after sleeping in, yay! It's not quite a day off, as I am teaching a nitrox course this afternoon, but for the first time in a long time I didn't have to get up early today. There have been a lot of divemastering trips for me lately, as well as a rescue course, and an open water referral. Yesterday i took my group to Chankanaab Bolones for the 2nd dive. We were going to go to the shallows, but when we got there we found several other boats getting ready to go in. We made a decision to switch to Bolones, and were rewarded with a shark, and 3 eagle rays. Nice! It was also fun to wave to the folks in the submarine as it passed by.
