checking in.. today was cross training cardio & toning with 9 co-workers and the trainer....

i admit, on the big run around the office block i took a short cut thru the lobby then the office and out the back thru the fire exits... the joys of being the middle building in the block :D

it was a good session... i think everyone at work is really getting a workout from it!

tomorrow 6.15am is resistance band session... i like resistance bands!
 
I wish i could be motivated enough to get out of bed early like that, TG :)

I went last night...it was really nice...apparently my head and feet chose to not pay attention b/c I kept tripping over myself...oh well, I'll try again tomorrow.
 
Just home from the gym - 2nd night in a row and it feels good. 20 minutes on the treadmill (1.15 miles and 172 calories) followed up by 20 minutes on the elliptical (1.65 miles and 257 calories).

The getting up early bit is less motivation than it is inability to sleep (I've inherited this from my dad). But thank you anyway... and... Go, Almity, Go!

And for that matter:

Last night I actually slept- went to sleep around 10 pm and woke up to the alarm at 6:15. Why I set the alarm, I don't know. But I reset it for 7. Of course, once I wake up I can't just go back to sleep (especially after more than 8 hours zonked out) so I got up at 6:45 and took the dog for a walk.

Then I did Abs of Steel- which is totally a marketing ploy. I don't care how many times I've done the work out, I will NEVER have abs of steel! The casserole I made yesterday may have something to do with that (but it was yummy!).

Slightly unfocused...is right...I wish it deserved that wink, but not so.


Made it back to the gym today for some cardio step classes....did better today...only tripped 3 times :)
Not normal for me, but certainly better.

Planning to hit the treadmill at the hotel gym tomorrow night...leave in the afternoon for some business travel.
 
I've been trying to get back on track the past few days....summer will be here soon! Soon I will be able to work out outside again!

I've completed 4 hours of cardio/weights over the past 3 days, and boy am I feeling it!
 
work up this morning and guess what... im NOT feeling sore!

i expected to feel sore... 2 cario session and a bands session should leave me sore.... hmmmm if i tell the trainer im sure he will say im not working hard enough ;)

today im going out for a walk at lunch.. nothing too full on, just a plod down the road for a juice and back
 
Always a good idea to feign soreness.

I went to the pool tonight to try out a dry suit. I was practicing that tuck/roll to get out of a foot-up position but I was not equalizing, and even the 5.5 feet was too deep for me. Plus, the suit was too big and was leaking. Plus, when I let air get to my feet so I'd have a foot-up position to try to get out of, the boot came off my foot, so I was flippering with my big toe instead of my whole foot.
(am I in the right forum to be posting this- lol)

So I gave up and just wore my swimsuit and did mini-laps at about 2 feet under for maybe 30 minutes or o.

This is on top of this mornings somewhat laid back work out, so it's all good!
