well i jsut spent an hour walking for the car to the butchers to the bakers to the fruit shop then to a new cafe on the corner to check out their menu and opening times then back to the car then to drove to home and took stuff in and out of the house then drove to the stationary store and walked around finding what i wanted then back to the car then drove back to the office and walked to my desk,...

does that count for todays exercise???

I am just home from the gym. Did all elliptical (free movement) while watching the last 45-minute (or so) segment of the movie Love Actually on my iPhone. It is so nice watching a movie, although the ending is funny-mushy and I am sure people at the gym thought I was a bit odd being on the verge of laughing one minute, and near crying the next!

Anyhow, did 36 minutes on the FM elliptical. 1.93 miles and 440.1 calories. Since my food dairy says that I can eat anothe 1000 calories today, I might go out to dinner to celebrate my 10# weight removal!!

Down 15# from the end of January. 2 notches off the belt.

Spin Class now is a matter of pain, not lungs. But, as they say: "Pain is just weakness leaving the body". On sprints I can get 3 digit cadence and on hills can handle much more resistance. Getting "second wind" is much faster and recovery from the 46 minute class is just about complete in 15 min.

I've been concentrating on cardio so I'm down a wee bit on how heavy weight I'm lifting. But, once I get to my goal I think that will come back swiftly.

So far it has not been easy. There are some days I really don't want to miss a meal, or work out (I drink ~750ml during Spin Class and still lose some weight). But, it is getting easier with each passing day.

All in all, I'm pleased. I hope my testimony helps someone else through a rough time.

yea. I am sitting in VOG from the volcano, that is my excuse today....they say it is bad for your lungs. It looks like nuclear winter out there.

I did sit ups while watching the news about the earthquake this morning then walked the dog and did upper body stuff.

Artic... what a deal! You are inspiring, as is this whole thread (notice how I avoided it during the winter!).

I seem to have miraculously dropped 10# but I attribute that more to scale variance than to actual weight loss. I was using a friends scale while visiting her and when I got home and used my own scale, BAM 10#. I have a Dr appt today so I'll see that THEIR scale says.

well yesterday im claiming the castle towers shops as my exercise... caught up on alot of things we had to do so from one office to another then a shop and another. and although we have breakfast at our favourite cafe i actually made poor hubby eat half of mine - poor man

today... im soon the head out for the fat chick focus group with my trainer - 8 weeks of a good kick up the bum ive been warned :multi:

Nothing for me today. I had laser vein removal yesterday and I am banned from physical activity until Sunday night. Didn't stop me from walking around Wal-Mart and I've walked the dog around the block- slowly though.

Nasty painful that laser- thank God it only lasts for the treatment!
