That is true Mrs. A! Mrs. D, CONGRATS ON GETTING MARRIED!!! (soon?)
My wedding dress ties up in the back, so I don't have too much pressure on me if I don't lose as much weight as I'd hoped....altough it would be nice to see how much of the ribbon I can get to be pulled through the laces, hopefuly I'll have to have the ribbon shortened :D

October 11, 2008. I've already lost nearly 20 pounds and 3 dress sizes, so we're heading in the right direction...but mine doesn't tie in the back...it zippers. So Ms. A is right (she's seen the pictures)...it can go it, but it can't go out.

And it would be completely awesome if you had to have the ribbons shortened for your BIG day! I'll cross my fingers for you.

well yesterday i spent about 7hrs on my feet cleaning at my mums house!

up and down ladders, cleaning fly screens and even her huge concrete driveway.... claiming that :D

today - ive been verrryyy lazy and already not looking forward to 6am training tomorrow..... BUT, i HAVE TO GO!!

cheers!

:multi:

this morning was 6am cardio... lot of boxing, kicking and running but i did it!!!

so what is everyone else doing?????????

i nowhere near what i want to be but i felt pretty good getting into it today and getting it done

i know i cant run (a fast walk really) but im trying more than just walking so im pretty happy with that!

who can share one thing they done today that they think they are doing better???

woohooo

Sorry - the week got away from me, resulting in dinners out with friends and with the hubby. We got back to the gym this afternoon - 35 minutes on the treadmill. Variable hill program resulting in 275 calories, 1.86 miles and a pretty steady heartrate throughout the entire exercise.

Time for a shower! Hope to be better this week, although the gym is closed. Have to head out for the hills around beautiful and finally sunny SF!

HIya all. Chiming in here quickly. Know I don't visit here as much as I used to, hope to be changing that soon as my yearly 5 day fast and 40 days of no meat is coming up. Yes, it is to jumpstart my diet (again) and also giving up meat for Lent.
Yesterday I ran... ok, jogged a 5k! I was so exhausted toward the end, thanks to not much training and not eating right. After I got home I took the dog for a leisurly bike ride then did some light yard work. I think the after run light exercise has helped me from feeeling too sore today. Then again, maybe I am just hopeful!

Looking forward to posting here more often in the upcoming months. Have a great day all!:)

reefwatcher:
I hope to make this a daily habit.

ME TOO! My goal at the outset is to get to the gym at least 3 times a week with progress to 5 or 6. A while back I was working out 6 days a week and it felt marvelous. Unfortunately life (aka bar examinations being a priority) interrupted that. While I didn't gain back any of the weight while not working out (miraculously since studying + work = countless hours sitting around), the loss of physical fitness was amazing when my husband and I went diving the other weekend. Since we shore dive, you really notice the workout that you get in your muscles and after 2 day dives and a night dive - all from the shore with a lowtide resulting in one hell of a surface swim, I realized quickly that the gym must be a priority again.

So that and being able to dive with less weight (a huge boon when coldwater diving) are my motivations.

My turn, actually started on 2 Jan. Yesterday burned 600 cals on the elliptical then worked out with the weights and other strength training equipment for an hour or so.
Later on that day took the wife for a 45 minute power walk. It was all good....

Daily workouts include doing cardio on elliptical and working the abs. Weight training included 3-4 x's a week. Getting back into some serious scuba shape...;)
