The shirt's great. I think a new 10lb challenge might be just the ticket to get people excited again. This all shouldn't be drudgery - we've gotta have fun...I need to do that!

Did a beach walk last evening, I just did it slow and steady as anytime I try to do too much I have a hacking fit and can't breathe so good. We took the new puppy down, too, since it was way low tide - tried to take some photos but she was so FAST running amok with another dog ;)

Alcina, you have the most awesome dogs! I can't wait to live out on my own! The 1st thing I am getting is a dog! They would be a perfect workout companion! As of now, there are 3 -15yr old cats in my Aunt's house house(my aunt prob. woudn't allow a dog in the house anyway, I am quite sure that beige carpets and dogs do not mix!!!), so obviously I will have to wait for a dog. Anyhow, what kind of dogs are those?(sorry, I do not know my breeds)

I did 50min of cardio, and 25min of weights today.

ps, I really dig that shirt Mrs. A :D

aubie - mine are Rhodesian Ridgebacks. I love 'em and can't imagine not having dogs.

Now, having said that...I absolutely would not have a dog until I was in a place in my life that I could responsibly have one. And essentially that means being available to spend good time, not just a 10 minute walk, with the dog each and every day. Going out of town? Out overnight? On vacation? Going out after work with friends for a few drinks and don't come home til 9 or later? If I did not have a ready circle of enthusiastic friends who adore my dogs and are responsible enough to take care of them like I do, I would not have dogs.

I didn't get a dog until I was in my early 20s, had a job that allowed flexibility for me to be home with her throughout the day or take her with me to work and had a pre-arranged set up with some friends to care for her the times I was going away. OH yeah, and until I was financially viable enough to pay for whatever happened - including $4500 vet bills from out of the blue ;)

Lecture over :D

im claiming todays diving as my exercise... well not so much the diving but the walk too and from the dive site in full gear!!

yikes....,. a reminder that i use to walk around all day with that weight in FAT

but i got up and down the ladders, stairs, across the bridge without a problem?

i really feel a new passion to stop kidding myself and get on with what i have to do to make myself healtheri!!

:multi:

oh, did i mention im diving again tomorrow :D

double oh - todays dive scored us pipe fish, angler fish, sea horses and decrotive (sp) crabs that scared the heck out of me as ive never seen one before!

So jealous you got to dive and saw an angler and all that other cool stuff - I would have been in heaven! ;)

We're looking at diving tomorrow and it will be the first time out with the new housing :D

Today wasn't a total loss even though I didn't get to dive - did a shoot I'd never tried before from an airplane and got paid a nice little chunk!

We also hit the beach around 8am with the new puppy. Only about 25 minutes walk, but certainly better than nothing!

Oh my, I haven't logged on but I did move my rear end over the weekend. Did weight training on Friday around 20 minutes, did 2 dives on Saturday, rest yesterday, and today probably do some more weights and avoiding red meat and eating the good stuff like tuna, salmon, and vegetable. :D

im again claiming my diving as exercise.... well more the walk up and down from the dive site as the workout!

have a pic, will put it up when i get to work in a couple of hours!

but - i will say, as i was walking up the stairs and across the bridge and up the hill yesterday at Bare Island, i was thinking that the training sessions with my trainer has helped!!!

No diving for me on the weekend :( I cannot shake this gnurly I have...it's now gone into my ear and down my neck so I will attempt to make an appointment to see a dr today. We shall see.

Did do another beach walk yesterday. There were a bunch of small reef octopus in the tide pools - they kept squirting as we went by! Tilly has the attention span of a carrot, so she never did see one, despite our best coaching and pointing and moving her head :shakehead: Dora knows octopus and approaches them pretty cautiously coz she doesn't like when they hit her with that jet of water!
