say, does every diver have to bring a float, or do people usually go in groups with one float?

Usually groups go with one or two floats

There will usually be enough flags in the water at any given time that entering without a flag should not be an issue.

Some of us have specialty flags. People will know where we are during our dives and can meet or dive in the area we are diving.

I will have one with us, you can just hang with us off the boat, and when off the beach either go with a group, or you can use ours there also

On the boat if you do not have a flag Jaime will give you one to use. He likes every diver to have a flag.

CoolTech and KBeck-one 10x10 canopy, some plywood cut into 2x6' (maybe 2x8') and saw horses. We have either 24' or 32' of table space that is 2' wide, Case of Diet Coke (not Pepsi!), bottled water, pulled pork & BBQ sauce

If the surf isn't too rough I may bring my 10' Zodiac. I have a 5HP motor for it and it would work fine for taking people out and dropping them off in the fossil beds, saving them a long surface swim(at least one way). I've used it to get out to the boneyard and with two divers and gear it works just fine. It would probably work fine with 3 divers. The only problem is that is is kind of a pain in the a** getting it from my car to the surf with one person. If I could get some help it is easy for 4 people to pick it up by the ropes and carry it to the water with everything in it. The motor only weighs 55 pounds and the boat itself is probably than 75 pounds. In return for the assistance I would be happy to provide ferry service when I'm not diving.
