yes, scubapro but I think there may just be a bit too much flesh on show if I take the vest off without something underneath it...

Last time I was there in December it was 21C and 22C - that is low 70F. I saw people with shorties and skins that came back from 45 minute dives with blue skin and shivering.

Weak divers....just weak...:coffee:

with the wetsuit sorted out, 3mm is fine.

hood does help.

you may use two(2) IST hoods, if needed. oversize is fine, since the use of two loose hoods (would greatly keep the warm water around your head without constriction). promise.

note: get the ist hood that is made of stretch fabric not neoprene.

I saw people with shorties and skins that came back from 45 minute dives with blue skin and shivering.
that because they did not wear their shorties and skins AND a double hood ! :eyebrow:

I completely forgot that I have a fabric hood - thanks for the reminder

...27 days and counting !

try to gather the Point Bar's t-shirt collection:D

I just saw a bunch of t-shirts in my closet from the Point bar. Where on Earth did they come from? Can't seem to remember...

Z...

We will be diving both Dumaguete and Puerto Galera during December. What kind of water temp's should we expect during this timeframe?

I dived Moalboal in November last year. A little north of Dumaguete and a bit (quite a bit) south of PG. I did 4-5 dives a day and was fine in a 3mm with hood.

As has been mentioned though, everyone's cold tolerance is different. A hooded vest might not be a bad idea  You could end up needing it in PG, probably won't need it in Dumaguete. Just my two cent's.... :)

And I should read the whole thread before posting a reply, as I see that this is already resolved and you bought a hooded vest :D

I agree with the others about Asia Divers. I stayed there in May 2007. I hadn't dived in a long time and did my Scuba Review with them... Great place!!! :)
