Great picture- Thanks for sharing, I reckon I've handled every part there at some point, what grease do you use in the gearbox? Tried asking Apollo directly but they wouldn't disclose any info, in fact, they said the motor couldn't be serviced at all.

Packed it right up full

It's about the same consistency as what was in there, slightly thin
I thought but I didn't want to use thick and steal my battery power

A bit nonsensical perhaps I don't know if it has flicked out
but the gears, scooter doesn't sound any louder with time

Right on, that’s exactly the same type I’m running in mine, had to do a recent motor rebuild -

Starting to recreate the inner handles- these will be the most challenging part to replicate yet.

Madness, that's a good thing!

Gunna have to get some bigger better sealant

Those relays are about seven bucks from the electronics shop

Yeah 2 things went wrong with it- the prop flooded, and the motor shaft seal failed at the same time, didn’t notice it until the motor stopped, funny enough the relay survived & still works fine.

Fantastic. Apollo is discontinuing some parts on the av1 av2 . Your friend may have a good little parts business to go on. Lots of those scooters around. I have 5 of them here in Cozumel.
He enjoys the challenge up improving designs, more of a hobby (he makes his own r/c helicopters),however if anyone needs any of these "improved" parts just shoot me a PM.

Ok, the left inner handle prototype has been printed, and I think it’s rock solid, will need to do some testing in the field. The right side trigger handle is still in development, these inner handle fit the outer covers 100% perfect.
