Ooooh, awesome, thanks! The first thing I clicked on by chance on the Casa Suzana map was the "Lobster Shack", lol. Since my three favorite cuisine's are Indian, Italian, and Mexican (in no order, plus throw Lobster, Ribeye, or FiletMignon in there too), so yes, FOOD will be a big deal. I consider myself a "Chile Rellenos snob", even the gringo versions. Excited to try a bunch of places...

Well, Casa Cuzamil is just a few blocks from the Casa Mexicana. Take a stroll back, check out the menu and ask about their Comida del Dia. It's cheap and you'll get several options offered for the Comida Del Dia and one will be Chile Rellenos with or without chicken. Is it the best I've had? No. Is it the biggest I've ever had stuffed with more cheese than I can digest? Yes. And ya get gratis chips and salsa, soup, and the entree with sides. Can't beat it.

Indian food at Bindaya is amazing, chile relano at Casa Cuzamil is the best, and there are numerous really good Italian places such a Guido's, Sorissi, and Rolandi's, so you should be set! Also, try the Pozole at Otates.

Well, Casa Cuzamil is just a few blocks from the Casa Mexicana. Is it the biggest I've ever had stuffed with more cheese than I can digest? Yes.

Well I'm a cheese freak too, so that works out fine, lol! My favorite is when they use a giant soft green chili, smothered in a spicy pork green chili. Is the traditional Mexican Rellenos soft (egg batter), or crispy (American/Wonton wrapper), or do they do both like up here? Yes I'm one of those Americans who don't know all the differences since nearly ALL the Mexican restaurants up here have the same giant menus containing the same 30 things. Even in Colorado.

Ha! We went on a Chili Rellenos hunt our last 2 trips. Put Cielito Lindo on your list. Walking distance to CM and order the chile en nogada.

Then for the last two days do a Mujeres Whale Shark snorkel trip right out of Coz, before flying home?

Blue Angel, El Cid La Ceiba, Grand Park Royal, Casa Mexicana, anyone stay at these? Mi Casa en Cozumel on the cheap end. Other favorite hotels in the $80 to $120 max range? I'm solo this trip and don't drink/party, so an all-inclusive is probably a waste.

You’re making the right choice NOT going AI. El Cid is good but i do not like high rises and I hate the tiny elevators.

Casa Del Mar is my Go-To hotel for 29 years of traveling there. I LOVE it there.

Dive Op – Try Dive With Martin – small groups, excellent service.

Are there any highly recommended dive sites specifically with the best chances of seeing Sharks, big wildlife, Pelagics, etc.? Or that's all really just random luck?...

Maracaibo, Punta Sur are your best bets for big animals. If you want to see amazing a big animals, book a trip on Red Sea Aggressor I and do the Brothers Itenerary. It was so spectacular I bet I will be bored in Cozumel this October.

Most of my 40+ dives are off Key Largo, Pompano Beach

No offense, but I think Florida diving sucks. Just my opinion

Jeannie signed me up for the Sea Turtle Conservation hatchling project, exciting!! I get to prep food and hand feed our three big Sea Turtles at the Denver Aquarium, but never seen babies before. Much less the nests and helping the babies get to the sea. <3

My last visit it was’t as good as before. The meat was drier and less of that delicious sauce. I had hoped that maybe it was just me but I was concerned the popularity had compromised the quality. Eric got it later in the week though and it was more like I remembered.
