[Ghetto Diver]

Like I need another tank, but couldn't pass it up at a local garage sale.
It had the original valve and born on '71.
There was a little rust on the bottom in inside, but it cleaned up nice with a ss brush duct taped to a rotisserie rod. Cleaned the threads and washed out with Simple Green. Installed a newer K valve.
LDS had an issue with their contracted hydro shop which resulted in a 3 week wait. They discounted the service to $20 because I didn't bitch.
A hot fill was done in front of me with an attempt to get it to settle at 2500-2600.
It settled at 2200. No worries. Took it out last weekend to a local shore dive spot. Got my usual [using AL80] 70 min dive out of it .
Love it and the less weight used. Last time I owned one was in the 80's.

They're great. I have 10 of them. The most I've paid for one is $30.

I currently have five of them. Most were free because the people thought they were junk and obsolete.
Silly fools, my gain their loss.
I've had many more than that in times past. Never had one fail hydro.

Best overall tank ever made.

@2airrushman, I saw your ad for some. If I were closer, maybe.

After my post, I thought I should check to see what my 2nd fill is at...well, 3k
Not as high as I would like, but I will get a shore dive this weekend with it.

Of course, now that I have one, it needs a companion. I dive ID's as well.
