Which type of fins for shore diving in Bonaire

Outside of Calabas (off the Divi dock) there aren't a lot that I would call walking distance. The Plaza Resort is not too far, and I'm sure they have some sort of diving, but I don't know how it works going into another resort to dive thier house reef. I highly recommend renting a pickup (Hertz...

Which type of fins for shore diving in Bonaire

Definitly wear the booties + open heel fins. With the warm weather and water, I felt a little like a :dork2: with my 5mm North Atlantic diving booties, but the soles of my feet thanked me. Don't forget to bring a lock for the on-dock lockers they provide. Also, notice the non-skid tape on...

    New Diver w/new BC?

Acccording to Dive Training Magazine, that is normal, and you should try to purge as much as possible before storing your BC.

    Orange BCD!

If only ScubaToys could get a similar deal on a pink BC, my wife would be thrilled!

    Orange BCD!

I picked up one of the Orange BCs based on the price (and I like to be a touch different.) It is hella comfortable, and I cannot wait to get it wet. The giant pockets are awesome! (My mom is very jealous of my pockets!)

    Princeton Tec Bottom TImer

I recently picked up a Princeton Tec gauge set, and I think the Bottom Timer might need a new battery. When I remove the timer from the console, it has a rubber case, that I can't see how to remove. Any suggestions? (I'm thinking that I should probably post a pic asap.) Can't seem to get the...

    The dark side?

hmmm... based on what I've been reading around here, I figured 'going to the dark side' would be a NAUI certified diver becoming a PADI instructor. (A PADIwan?):D

    OW Certified. Now what?

I don't know where you are, but there's a shop in Rye NH called Atlantic Aquasports. (http://www.atlanticaquasport.com/) I have heard good things about them. According to their website, they offer free refresher courses in their on-site saltwater pool. Again, I don't know about this first...

    Shore Wrecks

For shore diving, I really like www.shorediving.com I haven't seen New England wrecks listed there, but I think that Lake Winnipesaukee has some shore accessible wrecks.

    Just a little pissed off...

Well, being pissed off is better than being pissed on... (Excepting jellyfish situations...)

New Padi card in mail What is it ?

Possibly the PADI Diving Society Card. It's little more than a discount card to show you paid for membership.

How do you finance your Addiction??

Well, I teach, so the answer to the title question is, I don't. :D I try to scrape by picking up what I can afford when I can afford it. (rarely) THankfully, my family is supportive of my [-]addiction[/-] hobby and get me things for birthday/xmas.
