Wow this was a surprise to get a notification about this :)
2 couples decided not to be held to ransom and cancelled the trip, 4 others joined us so yes most of us sucked it up and continued with the trip.
The boat deck crew were fantastic, the assistant dive guide was great. The chef was...
I am in Mexico right now doing Cenote diving. I would say if you are here you have to try one, they are a unique experience. Perhaps ask for a recommendation of one which doesn't feel enclosed or has more "light zones" than the others.
I can go anywhere to dive in the sea, but only here to...
100ft or 30m is the standard recommended depth limit for all Redsea diving, certainly in the northern areas, we were advised that it is 40m in the southern areas. To be honest for the majority of recreational divers 30m will be more than deep enough for the dives on their trip. Also most divers...
I would recommend the Shark awareness trip with Blue O Two, it is run with a marine biologist on board and as well as the diving she will do lectures if you want to watch and participate.
Alternatively I have used boats from the Tornado fleet and Sea Serpent Fleet, Sea Serpent fleet offer...
I tried to search Divexplor in TA but it didn't bring anything up, is there a link to the review please.
Many months ago, there was a report in the news where guests were "holding" hoteliers to "ransom" over reviews and wanting discounts for positive reviews.
The website is for the boat, which can be booked through various agents, I don't know which country you are based in but the UK operator listed has a very good reputation. I have used them at least half a dozen times on various boats.
I can also recommend Maldives Scuba Tours a UK operator...
I didn't dive with Scuba Caribe at GP, but have asked the question about costs on the forum.

Fionab is a she not a he. Frankly I didn't understand the point of your post in the first place. So stated what basis I only book trips under. I have never paid a dive shop a premium for their organisational abilities.

Nothing would happen. It's how many of my friends in the UK do trips. We have done trips to Egypt and more recently to the Galapagos, filling boats and splitting the total costs between us.
We are just a bunch of friends, we don't need looking after or an instructor or a DM. I wouldn't take...
As an aside the BSAC also doesn't allow a hogarthian setup to be used in a teaching environment. If I wanted to further my training within the British SubAqua Club, I would have to change my current configuration or the course, which is a nonsense.
Your carry on must weigh a ton :).
I don't get take stuff as carry on, I have always just packed mine in the hold. Maybe you guys in the US don't have carry on weight limits and generally we only get 20kg of hold allowance.
I would try and find a friend who uses both the Frog and something else. I bought the Frog one for a course and tried it for the first time the day before, I really struggled with the Frog one as you have to both push back a collar and blow - don't ask me why, it was a pain. The guy I was...
