Nice. My wife and I were there last weekend and had fantastic vis; greater than 20'. It wasn't as calm as you had but very nice conditions none the less.

It is; hot showers, flush toilets, full kitchen, wood-burning stove for heat. It has a few beds but we usually pitch a tent outside for a little privacy.
We usually have a big ab feast Saturday night during this event.

In the prior years, we have surveyed Ft Ross, Gerstle, Stillwater, and Ocean Cove. It depends on weather and the amount of people who show up.

You can join ReefCheck(Reef Check - Saving Reefs Worldwide) and dive an area off-limits to most on the once-a-year charter. I'm headed to Pt Lobos this Saturday on the Monterey Express for 2 surveys. And I dove earlier this year free (on a survey).

On the Monterey County Health Department - Ocean Water Quality web site, they say it is easier to test for coliform and Enterococcus bacteria which don't necessarily cause disease in humans but are good indicators of disease causing organisms (such as hepatitis, dysentery, cholera, etc).

On a fishing site, they have a catagory of 'rare fish' pictures. There is a shot ( A collection of rare fish caught from NCKA.org) of a trigger fish from last year.
