ScubaBoard is my version of Consumer Reports for scuba gear and dive vacations. Lots of personal opinions on here which is a good thing. My recommendation is to stick with the name brands. Consider used equipment from a friend or reputable person. Also rent gear and try it out. I have Scubapro regs, bcd and wetsuit and all are like brand new after about 4 years of use. Join a local club and ask for their recommendations with possible discounts at the local dive shop. Good luck and safe diving.

Just buy Atomic or Scubapro and you will be doing great and ahead of everyone else for you will be buying the best of the best under the sun.
