If I didn't have one, I feel like this could be a killer deal. I'd be on my way.

Wow.. good deal for @-JD-@-JD- I can help out but it is not until after the next two weekends.
I'm probably less than 20-30 minutes from that area...
Model 1S3B-3 for the SA-3 and Model 1S3B-6 for the SA-6...
Thats the new model "Designation" from a few years back...
I looked at that post.... I see a newer model Rix "SA-6B" . Both coalesers...gas engine.... missing shroud... has the newer 8 blade 39 Degree fan blades.
I also see that it has no corrosion. That compressor looks to be in VERY good condition. I would suggest that that compressor has VERY few hours on it given how late a model it is.
WHAT I DON'T SEE....
I do not see a filter tower... figure that into your cost basis if you want it for scuba air.
I do not see a BPR or PMV assembly.
I would suggest that if your looking for a good compressor, at a decent price, you consider that Rix.
I would contact the seller, explain the missing shroud, filter tower, PMV and BPR and make a reasonble offer keeping that in mind.
If I needed another, and had the funds, I would probably jump on that @1K.

Blizzard-shmizzard.....I live in Jamestown, about 1 hour south of Hamburg, and its been nearly 40f every day the past week. Its mid-January and the ground isn't even frozen. SMH.It is tempting. 12 hour round trip, to western NY, in blizzard season, is a bit "dissuasive."
Kid is in (well, will be tomorrow) Ithaca, but has been home since mid December. So I can't even use "I miss him" as a partial excuse.
Bob, thank you for that! I may take you up on that, depending.@-JD- I can help out but it is not until after the next two weekends.

Emergency crash point...
Sure, just shame me why don't you ...Blizzard-shmizzard.....I live in Jamestown, about 1 hour south of Hamburg, and its been nearly 40f every day the past week. Its mid-January and the ground isn't even frozen. SMH.

My friend, they have words to describe people like you ... I think "Enabler" is one.Wow.. good deal for @-JD-
Just for reference I paid $2400 for mine and I'm thinking this one is newer. The shroud is a little bit of a downer, but maybe she has it who knows.
@-JD- I won't pretend to be any kind of expert, but if you do go down this route I'll help you any way I can. I have a few tips to look for if @rhwestfall wants to go look at it
BTW @rob.mwpropane how heavy is your unit? In case I have to lift it - remember I'm "old" and am cruising on 2 bad disks with another one already blown and trimmed ... I've got to think these things through.
