How does that cut down on the number of cards issued?
It doesn’t but it would cut down on replacement cost and preclude the worry about having the relevant card with yo. Of course PADI will have to abandon the stupid practice of each card having its own number and just assign a number to the actual diver.

Just tried it. I'm not found 😂
Did the same check. It shows 20 rec certs for me. Sounds about right.
It does NOT do a fuzzy search; you have to put in your name exactly as they have it in their records.

That's what I did. I even tried a misspelling of my official first name, the diminutive form of my name. Nuthin.

The most common problem is a reversal of month and day in the date field....by whomever entered your PADI cert.

I swore up and down I was certified when my wife was going through her class. The instructor at the shop couldn't find me. I forgot that as a teenager I went by Jake instead of Jacob and PADI wouldn't recognize anything except Jake... try using a shortened version of your name or something you may have went by. You could always give them a call as well. I had to do that in order to link my PADI account with my cert records.

I went directly to the PADI Pro Member site; it seems I have 26 rec certs, but the app previously linked shows only 20. The missing 6 include 2 old Medic First Aid and one EFR cert, long since expired so maybe that is why they are not showing; two Tec Rec certs (Gas Blender and Trimix Blender), so maybe they are not showing because they are Tec Rec; and one Equipment cert, which really ought to be there. It is also possible that the consumer app that was linked only shows 20 cert max. It is also possible ( and most likely) that the link is for the purpose of being "reactivated," and that does not exist for the 6 missing certs, since none of them are diving certs....just classroom.

there are 23 months in a year?

And the 10 different PADI instructors all made the same mistake (some multiple times)? I have my cards in front of me. My birthdate is entered correctly on every single one.
