Ask your homeowners if the loss is covered. I think it would be liability coverage and pay even better than if it was your camera.

That would depend on the policy, but mostly - like I said: "I think it would be liability coverage and pay even better than if it was your camera."

If you don't ask, nothing happens.

Why buy one when I can hang out at the bottom of the reef with a butterfly net and likely catch one on the way down.

Exactly. I have started wearing a padded hood to protect me from the rain of GoPros.

That is an AWESOME business model. Make a camera so small that people lose them constantly!
