I use the XS Suba shorts when diving wet, unless it's a sidemount dive. The crotch strap ensures that they won't fall down. I don't use a weight belt.

I dive a balanced rig, so I have room for one generic pouch on my waist belt. And I also have thigh pockets on my wetsuits.
I have seen the shorts, but dont know if I like them much.
Anyone run a BP with a weight belt? Maybe then I could replace the weight pouches with pockets?
I use a dive rite mesh pocket that clips on to the bottom of the plate and sits on my butt outside of the crotch strap. It's pretty handy, but I kind of agree with Nemrod in that you should try to really eliminate carrying anything you don't need. I do use that pouch for an extra mask in cave/cavern diving.
Halo, which one are you using for this?
I don't really want to use my Xpants pockets for the extra mask when I do the solo course but I was stumped for another idea. This sounds like a good outta the way solution.
Send me a link dude!
You could try this: Highland by XS Scuba Mesh Carry Pouch at LeisurePro
Just make sure you do not sit on the mask
