good ways to add weight at shoulder level for BP/W?

Yeah screw the lead to the plate through a hole, here's the base of a bookscrew I've hammered into the lead

Maybe make some lead plates and have the weight where it should be

Not hindering you on cam or any other bands or ankles or necks or fins or things
 
I had a neighbor with a machine shop mill a chunk of stainless steel to fit the channel in my DSS plate. He threaded holes to match the plate and I screw it into the channel. It adds 3 pounds right at the top of the plate.

You could probably make a mold of your plate’s channel and pour lead into it for a perfect fit, and gain more weight than my 3lbs since lead is denser than SS by maybe a third.
