closed the port on Playa side, so no diving with the bull sharks, so no more dives for me as we head home tomorrow.

Palancar Gardens and Columbia Shallows is the perfect day! Jealous! 7 days, if the major winter storm "late next week" doesn't foil me....
Today was palancar caves and cedral wall. Both around 60 - 70 ft. 3 huge eagle rays and lots of turtles at cedral. First time drifting. Caves was very pretty, one turtle and did a few mini swim throughs.

Its raining again. CVchief is picking us up in an hour for a night dive. Don't tell the taxi union.

Is Java now safe to use?

As far as I am aware the recent updates patched the last publicized vulnerabilities, if that is what you are referring to. Depending on your browser settings, the SCC webcam may generate an unknown publisher warning because there is no digital signature presented when the app tries to run, so you have to manually authorize it. It should not attempt to access anything else without asking for permission in each instance. I'm on the cam fairly often and it has never caused any problems.

Night dive was great, ran a little late getting to the marina because el jefe thinks I have enough money to stay at secrets and the resort guards won't let anyone through the gates! Dove about an hour at paradise- very cool, and finally kicked my husbands ass is air consumption.

And the word of the night, kids, is Octopi...

And seriously it is easier to get someone out of prison than out of Sabor/Aura/Secrets/Etc....

I submit that the jury is still out.

From Plural form of words ending in -us - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

"...In between these two extremes are words that, despite not supporting a Latin plural on etymological grounds, are nonetheless widely pluralized with -i and as such are not immediately heard as incorrect by a substantial number of native speakers (e.g. octopi as a plural for octopus). The question of whether or not these alternative plural forms can be considered incorrect or not touches on the on-going prescriptivism versus descriptivism debate in linguistics and language education."

To my ears, "octopi" sounds silly and pretentious, but whatever floats yer boat. "Octopuses" doesn't sound quite right to me, either, so I'll stick with "octopus" for the single or plural form, as in "flock of sheep" instead of "flock of sheeps". I will, however, refrain from claiming that "octopi" is unambiguously incorrect. After all, "irregardless" is now widely accepted as a word and "decimated" is now regarded as synonymous with "devastated" in many corners of the lexicon, although neither makes any sense to me.

DSFDF and YMMV.

I think octopi is wrong because it is Latin but octopus is built on Greek roots. I like octopuses but Kevin suggests octopodes for your consideration.

Today was palancar bricks and French reef. I was out a few minutes before they saw a massive loggerhead. I blame a slightly short fill and stress over the damn swim through.
