Interesting, thanks.

40m/130ft- 212 mins or 120 minutes +reserve capacity at 22.5l/min vent rate/ Normal swimming/15 degrees C/59 Fahrenheit. This was cut from the explorer manual as middle of the for the scrubber. The gas supply is listed at about 189 mins nominal with good breathing and no bail out. Your mileage may vary.

I was probably the first outsider (non Hollis staffer) to train on one. I am now an instructor on the unit. I would be happy to answer any questions except those that pertain to pricing or release dates since I have no clue.

That's me in the red swim trunks ;)

Ok, so here is a question; The tank mounted on the Explorer in your video is considerably larger than any tank I have seen in all of the pictures that I have seen, correct ?? Reason ? Benefit ? Nitrox % ?? Longer or deeper dive time ? Scrubber "cartridge" or loose fill ?

It is an al40 the standard tank that will ship with the explorer is a steel 40 which is shorter and slightly fatter.
That unit is a prototype and we rented the tanks from a local dive shop

Got it, thanks !

Wedivebc I believe that the Explorer is Ce certified, do you know if it passed the IEC61508 Part 1 Clause 6 - Management of Functional Safety part of that standard and f so where I could get a coy of that Cert? Many thanks.

You can purchase that document here Search Results for "iec 61508"

If it has the CE mark then I would imagine it has passed all aspects of the CE standard but I don't know the answer you are looking for.

Many thanks. I'm new to this forum, do you know if there are any Hollis reps who could answer this question?
