Where did "Shark Valley" get its name?

"Wildlife seen in Shark Valley include alligators, ibis, Wood storks, spoonbills, raccoons, deer, lizards, snakes and herons."

I would have expected a shark observation tower!

The valley the slough is in is part of the shark river..

Whats up Tampa? Anyone alive in here?

I went divin on the other coast last weekend. Saturday and Sunday. It wasnt very productive for hunting but being in the water was AWESOME! In the last few minutes of one dive I got a nice close encounter with a LARGE hammerhead! Too bad my buddies time was already up, he missed it! LOL

that hammerhead was right next to the whale shark, right? And right aftewards the dolphins came by...:rofl3: :rofl2:

LOL... dolphins? I thought all fish that looked like sharks were "dolphins"

It was the first hammerhead I have seen underwater but not the first I have been swimming with! I was not drunk........ No whale sharks, no dolphin on this trip.
I did see a giant gag, but with the season still closed I had to watch him swim away peacefully!
