Trash on Bunaken is seasonal and located on either side on the island depending on the currents, usually you won't have that much trash on the southern side of Bunaken (Oasis, Bastianos, Likuan wall) in the northern hemisphere "summer/fall" eg. from June to october.

what about the other side (two fish) in july? I was about to decide on Bunaken/Lembeh -- I was on Bunaken in the mid-90s and very little development then and pretty pristine. But friends who've been there recently said it was full of trash and coral is in bad shape. i've heard this from others but your experience is different?
