Third cylinder ring blow by. Basically it's a super cheap compressor and not expected to last.

Heck cant you be gentle on the folks and say it with some degree of sympathy like:

"Im sorry but all things come to an end at some point in life it's just that some things don't live as long as others. But look on the bright side its was still a super cheap compressor and was not expected to last that long. A compressor that burns twice as bright burns half as long and yours have burnt so very brightly.

But it had a good innings it tried hard and did its best it was never expected to last it's in a better place.

You see that's much better. We cant have two of us playing the bad cop it's not fair or inclusive. Besides it's the 4th stage ring blow-by not the third. And my apologise for the blatant rip from Tyrell: Blade Runner

It was late, forgive me father for I have sinned and forgot the magical 4th stage on that horrendous MCH6

Ah.......An unruly congregation I see before me.
There is nothing magical about the MCH 4th stage so I'm told.
However fixing it up solid to the conrod and flooding the back end with the grit grime and white metal filings from the bearing wear off the sump oil wash its a darn miracle it ever makes it past the fifth oil change. Have faith brother. it's holding on but only with a wing and a prayer. Just not magic mind.

Well if the cheap and crude finger over the oil dip stick hole to test for piston leakage blow-by back into the crankcase test suggested earlier didn't get a response. No point is us going any further.

Although the the next suspect for consideration of lower flow at higher pressures would be to look at the motor itself. Coltri use an electric single phase 240 volt 50Hz made by SOGA motors in Italy not the best around and only just applicable for the task. A little better than the made in China motors but frankly not up to the task. An early sign of motor failure is low flow at higher pressures as the torque against the rated power reduces. But as we don't have a full disclosure on the age or power type on this particular compressor or any response from the OP why guess. The current response from Coltri users at large would be to to put it up for sale on the likes of E-bay and sell it to another unsuspecting baby diver.

It's single phase 240v. Bought new. 59 hours on the metre. I haven't checked it yet because I'm busy diving.

Do you want a response so you can launch into another smart arse tirade against anyone who uses a compressor you don't approve of? Honestly it's pretty sad mate. You give a tiny nuggent of good advice in a post, wrapped up in know it all bragging and insult anyone who disagrees. Catch your self on chief, it's kind of pathetic.

It's single phase 240v
I think I guessed that already in my earlier post.

Suffice to say good luck now with help from our two resident Coltri fan boys.... Helpless and Hapless.
Now I guess we have another Coltri fanboy member. Hopeless.

ROFL later dude. :)
