I have had a dual whip on my Junior II for over 15 years, done thousands of fills. Never a problem.I'd caution the dual whip idea as that compressor is not a constant duty design, and may not like that level of work....
What's the run time on Bauer Jr? I know they're not continuous duty... I guess maybe an hr or 2?I have had a dual whip on my Junior II for over 15 years, done thousands of fills. Never a problem.
My compressor is over 23 years old and has done 1745 hours as of this afternoon. It has done 5325 fills. I have run for over three hours over 23 times. I regularly run for an hour or so each time. Still filling perfectly. What's the run time on Bauer Jr? I know they're not continuous duty... I guess maybe an hr or 2?
I like having 2 whips because it's better for swapping tanks... turning one tank off and one on without losing any gas.
Edit: @rhwestfall cheat sheet added.... it's setup for mine but play with it you'll get the idea. I think it's awesome!!
How did you find out they last longer? Did you overrun them until air was stinking?
How do you fill the stainless tube filters? Carbon and molecular sieve? Or mol sieve / carbon / mol sieve, like in Bauer cartridges?
Do you press the filling material befor closing the cartridge, like scrubber in rebreather?
I've seen broken refilled Bauer cartridges 25 years ago and 15 years ago. Happy diver you seem to be very lucky guy.
