PDL is currently going through all the training kits in detail. I've got two on their way to me now.
My last course at DEMA was similar, sad to say. Given the price I used to pay as a Service Center for parts and kits, I think the focus of the prior US distributor may have been elsewhere.
Within reason, and given the propensity for expensive tools to occasionally sneak out of the meeting hall, PDL is committed to fixing this for all of you.

I read the article. Cercley was "backed by the Asian group ODE Sports". ODE Sports is a big Chinese diving products distributor, notably the exclusive Aqualung and Apeks distributor in China.

Yes. And an aspect not mentioned in the article is that Aqualung is a provider for the French Marine. European ties is something, Chinese one another.

There's that. Also there must have been doubts about the ability of ODE Sports to actually finance Aqualung as a going concern. According to ODE's greatly out of date website, in 2016 they had only 20 million RMB (less than 3 million USD) in sales: ODE Sports | dive equipment,Sole distributor of high end dive equipment for greater China region
