Any hints for how to get the cover ring off? I can't turn it. Tried an ultrasonic cleaner for a while and tapping on the edge. Nothing moves. Even ordered a Zeagle tool from Scuba tools...but it doesn't fit the Onyx. The service manual says:

use an old diaphragm or piece of rubber sheet for more grip on the cover ring. the old version had molded knurling to be easier to remove
