Thanks SimBrook.. the first mention of swivel was about the turret... the second for the second stage.. .. I tend not to make myself clear enough.. ugh... Thanks to everyone for all the helpful information.

For the price, $700 is way too much assuming you are talking about the first and second stage only. The 50D sells for less than 6 at my LDS. But the swivel will not cause a problem. Awesome regs.
As for the SPG, I personally don't see a reason for a backup unless you are doing some really hardcore diving. If you are checking your pressure often like you should, you will know approxiamtely what it is whenthe computer goes and even if you had an SPG you would be ending the dive right?....
