I have traveled with a similar AC/USB combo power strip like Trailboss shared for a number of years. The one I had was made by Tessan and a little more compact. I carried it in my backpack for use in airports during extended layovers. However, it was confiscated by the Philippine equivalent of TSA last week.

Why? (no tip?)
The agent said it was an extension cord and was prohibited. I just found a document that confirmed extension cords are listed as workers' tools and are prohibited in carry-on bags.

What is funny? They only became independent from US in 1979, use the US dollar, and are still closely associated in various ways. Same as a number of little Pacific islands.
I wasn't being sarcastic only that I dived in the Marshall Islands at Bikini Atoll in 2006. The best 12 deep wreck dives in my life.
