BabyDuck:
what & when was your last official class? and how long have you been diving? i thought it might be interesting to show diving newbies that diving oldbies keep on learning in classes as well as in more casual ways.

i've been diving 14 months, and my last class was last weekend - tdi's intro to tech, a new class from them taught by bobby f. worthwhile!

DSAT Gas Blender - about a year ago now.

No firm plans for any more right now - but then I learn something new every dive - it just doesn't get a certificate.

Interesting thread.

finally took Rescue about 14 months ago. Last class before that was Nitrox in 2000. Been diving for 16 years. I'd probably take more classes if I still dove where I lived, as on trips I just want to dive.

Last week - Nitrox in Maui
Last month - Equipment Specialist (not very worthwhile)
Month before - Emergency First Responder / DAN O2 Provider

Love to keep learning.

I've been diving for 8 years. I finished my PADI DM course in Feb. Looking at doing IDC at the end of Nov. But i also work in a dive shop so i'm always picking up new info.

I've been diving for 12 years or so with about a 3 year inactive period back near the beginning. My most recent class was Full Cave just over a year ago. That is if you don't count some instruction on the use of a dry suit about 6 months ago.

I took DIRF at GUE homebase a couple weeks ago. It was the most worthwhile training i've had to date.
