I like the first impression I am getting from it.

Mine (Black-BT, arrived today, did not dive it yet), however, thinks it is out off power suddenly at 98% charge and shuts down suddenly when in surface mode.
Will only boot up again after charging for several minutes (and not on first try, I think).

I does not react to buttons then but putting it into a glas of water seems wake it up.
Would not be a problem, but connecting it to teh USB cable will do nothing but show an empty battery symbol for a few minutes.

Also directly after the firmware update it booted up (very fast, took about 2-3 seconds for the update) showed first 98%, then 0% in red and back to 98% before shutting down and not coming back. I got quite a shock there.
But it just seems to show 0% for a second on every bootup.

In Demo Mode it has chugging away now for a few hours and did not shut down.

and after that it just turns on when pressing the buttons a few times, seems to have been a temporary bug.

Mine had a moment like that when I installed one of the updates. I re - installed and tried again; worked fine after.

Where did you order from?

Received my Black BT last week and have tried to upgrade to latest SW since then. I follow the upgrade instructions exactly and then the computer lock up completely displaying "Checking File - Wait". Then have to drain battery (2 days) and try again.

Has anyone experienced this? Does anyone have an email address to support? Have tried manufacturers email and FB page but no response.

Finally succeeded with upgrade:

- Performed a "Wipeout device"
- Did initial setup again setting language, metric, date/time
- Downloaded upgrade file to device
- Rebooted device and chose upgrade
- It worked!

I don't have an xDeep but I downloaded the manual and it seems to describe what you observed as a feature:

"When first started, the battery indicator will always indicate total discharge of the device.
This is intentionally set like this during the production process, after the complete charge, for user’s safety. "

Ah, thank you, overlooked that.

It still had some problems, however. I could not set VSI settings below 10m/min and could not delete ranges (menu option did not appear at all).
Another factory reset (third one) seems to have fixed that.

Funny bug: If I invert the display while setting the options and then press the buttons switching between setting and revert the display it will sometime rotate around the wrong axis and show a mirror image of the settings until a button is pressed.

Where did you order from?

From a local shop.
A lot of people canceled their orders or they were waiting for computer version.
I needed just a BT so I found myself first of the row.
